“Party Rules”
Things to know on the day
Old MacDonald’s
Barnyard Parties are a great way to celebrate as a family! To ensure
your day is full of great times and good memories, please read the
following instructions and share them with your guests prior to your
visit — and of course, on the day...
-
All guests are to report to Kiwi Valley Reception on arrival and prior to your booking time. We suggest half an hour in advance of your booked time to allow for late arrivals.
-
The Organiser should confirm to Reception Staff the actual numbers of children and adults.
-
Full payment for your group is due upon arrival. Stickers and vouchers will be issued to your party. Your booking fee payment will be deducted from the total figure.
-
Your booking fee of $60 paid prior to the date of Party will not be refunded if your party cancels within 14 days of the booked date.
-
The Farm Guide will collect your group from Reception and take you to your Party Pen in the Barn at your booked time.
-
Once you are in the Barnyard, your Farm Guide will explain the schedule and take your group to an activity, this will give you time to cook your BBQ and set up in your allocated area. The Guide will then bring the group back to the Barn at the agreed time with washed hands, ready to eat. The Guide will return once you have finished eating to take you all to the remaining activities.
-
If you are bringing your own food, please ensure that this is easy to carry — there is a short walk to the Barn.
-
Please keep the BBQ areas tidy. Cooking utensils, tomato sauce and mustard sauce are provided with the package. Please ensure that these remain in the Barn.
-
Your time booked within your Party Pen area is 2 hours. After your booked time, you must vacate the Barn. You and your group are welcome to stay and revisit the farm activities at your own leisure.
-
Parental supervision — farm staff are found throughout the complex but it is important to remember that adult and parental supervision will ensure a quality and safe experience for the young.
-
BE INTERACTIVE — learning through recreation and entertainment is fun and happens to everyone.... encourage the young to have a "HANDS ON EXPERIENCE". Its for the "Big Kids" too! (That's you adults)
-
The children can redeem their scoop ice cream voucher at the Moo Baa.... this is a great way to finish up your visit!
-
NO SMOKING OR ALCOHOL IN THE BARN AREA — The Flax Café is fully licensed and provides a relaxing environment.
