Activity Description and Scoring
Arrival & Greeting by Farmer
- Hospitality Barn (Approx 30min)
Round Robin Games (approx 15mins per game):
Sheep Herding
-
Teams watch the Farmer and dog round up sheep and put in pen.
-
1 Team at a time has a go at rounding up the sheep, 1 team member is shepherd, others are dogs who chase the sheep into the pen. All sheep to be herded into the pen before time is up.

Scoring: 10 points for the whole flock, 5 points for some and No points for none.
Whip Cracking
-
1 person from each team (2 at a time) try to get the biggest crack!
-
Scoring: 2 points to the person who gets the biggest crack.
Gumboot & Horses Shoe Throwing
-
Who can get the horse shoe around the pole? And the gumboot in the barrel?
-
Scoring: 2 points if you get the target.
Maze
-
Each team will enter the maze through the turnstile and have to find 3 points in the maze; point 1 “Animal Pen”, point 2 “Bird Avery”, point 3 “Cave” race inside. The first team to have all the team members arrive at the cave wins. Some members of teams will be blindfolded!

Scoring: 10 points for 1st team, 5 points for 2nd team.
Sheep Shearing Interactive
Display (approx. 30min)
The Farmer will need a sheep to shear!
-
1 person to hold the gate and 1 person will try to grab a sheep from a pen and bring it to the farmer. ( 2 people from each team)
-
Once the sheep have been caught, the Farmer will shear most of the sheep, leaving a few blows for a couple of people to have a go.

Scoring: Fun activity - you choose who should do it and the score!

1st Hay Bale Race – teams compete
-
Teams compete to shift a pile of 10 hay bales from one side of the arena to the other.
-
Only 1 hay bale at a time is to be shifted
-
Scoring: 1st get 10 points, 2nd gets 8 points, 3rd gets 6 points, etc.
2nd Poo Race – teams compete at once
-
Teams compete to fill their bucket with poo, once they have run over the obstacle course (each person will get a cup to transport the poo, the scooper gets gloves)
-
Only 1 person at a time, 1 person filling the bucket, the others are racing!
-
Scoring: 1st team to empty their bucket 10 points, 2nd team 9 points, etc.
3rd Egg Throwing - teams compete at once
-
2 people to 1 egg, see who can throw it the furthest without it breaking.
-
Start 8 feet apart, when egg is caught take a step back, continue until egg breaks or you reach the hay bale.
-
Scoring: 2 points for every egg not broken. Bonus points for the messiest competitors.
